Dad

The prognosis for my father at this point is that he has about two months to live. He has a clot in his right leg and has opted not to treat. He is being taken off all his medications except for Lasix. He has right side congestive heart failure, which means he has edema in his extremities and trunk. If his trunk swells too much it is hard for him to breathe due to the pressure on his lungs. Unlike left sided CHF the fluid does not build up in the lungs, but it can still make breathing difficult.
My father is not eating well but maybe once the medications clear his system he'll feel better and want to eat. They make him feel nauseated and alter his sense of taste. He is on hospice at this time.
The reason I don't present as more upset is because his health has been very poor for some time. This is not unexpected. It doesn't mean I'm not sad, but what good would it do to fall apart?
It will sound silly but I bought him one of those copper magnetic bracelets. Maybe it will balance his energies and make him more comfortable.
Peace.
Faycin

I am so sorry your father is so ill. If you need someone to talk too, feel free to e-mail. I'm here to help support you. I think the cooper bracelet was a thoughtful gift.
